Frequently Asked Questions
Changes Idaho — 501(c)(3) | Idaho Falls, ID | EIN: 42-4490513
What does Changes Idaho do?
Changes Idaho is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving families in the greater Idaho Falls area. We collect community-donated baby and toddler clothing, gear, and essentials, then rehome them free of charge to families who need them. Our goal is simple: every child, from infancy through the toddler years, should have what they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
Who can receive items?
Any family with infants or toddlers in our service area can request items. There is no income test and no referral needed — if your family could use help, submit a request through our Community Exchange form and a volunteer will follow up.
How do I request items for my family?
Fill out the request form on our Community Exchange page with what you need (sizes, item types, and your contact info). A volunteer reviews each request and coordinates pickup or delivery of available items.
What items do you accept as donations?
We accept gently used baby and toddler clothing, shoes, gear (strollers, car seats within expiration, high chairs, cribs), toys, books, and essentials. During our annual Diaper Drive (October 24–31), we also collect diapers (all sizes, newborn through 7), Pull-Ups and training pants, baby wipes, and new infant and toddler socks.
What condition should donated items be in?
Please donate items that are clean and in good, safe working condition — things you would feel good handing to another family. For diapers and wipes: open packs are fine as long as the items are clean, unused, and in their original packaging wrap. Socks must be new.

Do you offer donation pickup?
Yes. We offer free porch pickups in Idaho Falls and Rigby. Fill out our Community Exchange form and select "Donate Items" — include your address and what you're donating and a volunteer will follow up to schedule a pickup.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Changes Idaho is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 42-4490513), so monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations made through our website are processed securely via Zeffy, and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
How does the Diaper Drive work?
Each October, we run a community-wide drive to stock our diaper bank for the year ahead. Drop off diapers, Pull-Ups, wipes, and new socks at any listed location during the drive window. Our most-needed sizes are always 3, 4, 5, and 6, and preemie sizes are welcome too.
2026 Drive: October 24–31 — see our Diaper Drive page for drop-off locations and details.

How can I volunteer or get involved?
We are an all-volunteer, family-run organization and always welcome help — sorting donations, packing request boxes, staffing drive events, or spreading the word. Email info@changesidaho.org to learn about current volunteer needs.
Where does my monetary donation go?
Donations fund the items we cannot get through community donations, operational supplies like bags and packing materials, and the costs of running our programs — including working toward a dedicated space so we can serve more families. 100% of donations via Zeffy go to our mission — Zeffy charges no platform fees to nonprofits.
