Our Story
The idea came from watching families run into transportation barriers — they needed the items but couldn't get to them. As a social worker, I think a lot about barriers and ACES scores, and I kept seeing how something as basic as diapers or a winter coat could be out of reach just because someone couldn't get across town. So we flipped it: we bring the items to them.
We're a small, all-volunteer, family-run nonprofit, and we keep things simple on purpose: free porch pickups around Idaho Falls and Rigby, and every donation is cleaned before it goes out to a family.
Our Programs
Community Clothing Exchange — Year-Round Core Program
Families contribute outgrown children's clothing, gear, books, and toys; we wash, sanitize, and rehome every item to local families who need the next size up. Share what you've outgrown, request what you need next — coordinated through our Community Exchange form with free porch pickup in Idaho Falls and Rigby.
Annual Diaper Drive — October 24–31, 2026
Our first community-wide diaper drive, collecting diapers (especially Size 4, our most-requested size), wipes, and children's essentials at drop sites across Idaho Falls and Rigby — see our Diaper Drive page for locations and details. Every donation stays local.
Sponsor a Box — $55
For $55, you can sponsor a full essentials box for a local family: a week's worth of clothing, diapers, wipes, and socks, packed with care. Monthly sponsors keep our shelves stocked year-round.
Our Impact
Since July 2026, Changes Idaho has served 161 children across 104 families, fulfilling 101 requests for clothing, diapers, and baby essentials.
All powered by community donations and a small, family-run volunteer team. Our goal: reach 300 families and distribute 15,000 diapers by January 2027.

Our Mission
Changes Idaho is a community-driven exchange dedicated to supporting families with children from infancy through their toddler years. We connect families in need with gently used clothing, baby gear, toys, and essential items that have been generously contributed by members of our community.
Life is full of changes, and during difficult transitions, access to basic necessities can make a significant difference. At Changes Idaho, we believe that every child deserves the items they need to grow, learn, and thrive. By collecting and redistributing quality pre-loved clothing and children's items, we help reduce financial burdens while promoting sustainability and community support.
In addition to donated items, we gratefully accept monetary contributions. Every contribution directly supports our mission by helping us provide resources, maintain operations, and serve more families experiencing life changes and unexpected hardships.
